Role Responsibility
We are now looking for a Criminal Justice Partnership Manager. This role is a senior managerial role and will oversee the established DAWs Criminal Justice Team and Starting Over Service as well as developing other opportunities. Your role will be to develop and lead our partnerships with criminal justice partners and to oversee the delivery of our services. You will both ensure that services are informed by harm reduction and also develop innovative new approaches to engaging substance users who historically have not engaged with services. Specifically you will lead our approach to:
Continuity of Care from prison to the community:
- You will ensure that all offenders on release from prison are provided with bespoke services to ensure that they engage with the treatment and support that they need
Integrated Offender Management/ Starting Over
- To oversee and develop the existing ‘Starting Over’ project provide reducing reoffending services to repeat offenders
Courts and Probation
- To ensure that community drug and alcohol treatment use is maximised for those in court and that all offenders supervised by probation have their substance misuse needs assessed, harm reduction support is provided. and treatment and support provided where appropriate
Police and Anti-Social Behaviour
- To use a data led approach to ensure that both those needing support on arrest receive that and also that individuals who engage in antisocial behaviour are supported through targeted interventions
Starting Point Plus
- Starting Point Plus is the innovative DAWs project that provides an intensive 2 week assessment for individuals on release from prison. You will lead the development and delivery of this project.
The Ideal Candidate
The role would suit someone with extensive expertise and managerial experience in either substance misuse or in reducing reoffending- ideally both. We are looking to recruit a candidate who is personally and professionally committed to inspiring the possibility of recovery in others.
