Role Responsibility
To lead a team of Engagement & Harm Reduction Workers and support projects focused on enhancing access to Harm Reduction support and services for the service users.
As the Harm Reduction Lead, you will be responsible for delivering excellence in all aspects of service delivery. Working closely with clinicians, recovery workers and managers, you will contribute to the planning of harm reduction interventions and actively respond to evolving local needs. We will also rely on you to build and maintain strong relationships with other local stakeholders. In addition, you will stay abreast of the latest developments in the substance misuse field and use your initiative to identify and explore new opportunities within our integrated service structure.
You will need experience of the substance misuse sector and in depth knowledge of the Harm Reduction as well as a proven ability to lead and develop projects.
The Ideal Candidate
To achieve these goals, and help us deliver and develop our wider substance misuse strategy, you will need a background in the substance use field and knowledge. This must include a good understanding of harm reduction, psychosocial interventions and case management as well as proven ability to manage and develop a team. Add to that your personal resilience, first-class communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills and you will quickly establish yourself as an important and effective member of our team. You must be IT literate with a good understanding of data reporting systems, be able to adapt to competing priorities and be extremely organised. You will also be comfortable supporting your team whilst implementing organisational change as the service continues to adapt and grow. A full driving licence and use of a car is essential. Working 37 hours per week, the nature of our service demands a degree of flexibility on working hours.
