Wellbeing Service Manager- Warwickshire

Where will I be working?

 

You will be primarily based at the office in Leamington. However, there will be expectations to travel to sites across Warwickshire. Therefore, it is essential that you drive and have access to your own vehicle.

 

Role Responsibility

We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Service Manager to oversee a Social Wellbeing Service in Warwickshire. You will be responsible for overseeing the running of the Wellbeing Service in Warwickshire. As the manager, your focus will always be on ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality services; all within a challenging, but very rewarding environment.

You will lead contract review meetings, liaise with partner organisations, commissioners, and internal stakeholders on a regular basis. You’ll also carry out risk assessments, conduct audits, complete report writing and be responsible for everyday operational management.

Management experience, particularly through a time of change, and a background of working in community setting will be a real advantage as you will be responsible for a small staffing team at each service. On top of this, a track record of supporting and empowering people to live more independently in their community.

You will provide ongoing support to the Community Navigators in the Warwickshire team and meet with them regularly for appraisals and performance reviews. The ability to meet financial and business targets will be just as important. Managing caseloads and referrals is essential to ensure effective service delivery and secure growth in conjunction with the organisation and sector strategies. Flexibility is essential, and, you should also have a full driving license and access to a car.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Requirements

  • Experience of working with people with a learning disability and facilitating improved wellbeing outcomes
  • A good knowledge of health and wellbeing and factors that need to be considered to improve outcomes for people with a learning disability
  • Experience engaging with local communities
  • A clean driving license, access to own transport and good knowledge of the Warwickshire area
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use person centred approaches
  • Ability to coach others in key work areas
  • Effective communication skills with both individuals and groups
  • Good problem-solving skills and can successfully facilitate others to identify their own solutions with support
  • Ability and willingness to travel to sites and work unsocial hours when required

 

Desirable requirements

  • Coaching Skills
  • Facilitation of training skills in a group setting
  • Knowledge and application of Local Authorities ‘5 Ways to Wellbeing’ and the challenges and barriers that people with learning disabilities may face in relation to this approach
