Triage & Volunteer Coordinator - Complex Needs Service
Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Turning Point Complex Needs Team as a Triage and Volunteer Coordinator.
This role requires someone passionate about promoting mental wellbeing and will require someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about engaging with individuals who may need our service. Responsibilities will include coordinating volunteers to process inward referrals where you and the volunteers will provide remote person-centred emotional support as well as advice, information and signposting to service users who are experiencing a complex health and social issues.
Alongside this you would coordinate and manage peer mentors who are delivering support in the field is to ensure health & safety is upheld and positive outcomes are delivered.
You will support the delivery of our Peer Mentoring Programme and support the recruitment, development and involvement of volunteers within the service. You will need to possess or willing to work towards a Level 3 Award in Education and Training.
In this role you will have opportunity to make a real difference to people who are experiencing mental health and physical health issues as well as complex social issues.
Role Responsibility
As a Triage and Volunteer Coordinator you will be supporting the daily function of a busy voluntary sector service. You are likely to be someone with outstanding written and telephone communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively, independently, and as part of a busy team. You are likely to have a background in managing a phone line, have general administration experience and have experience of managing and supporting volunteers and peer mentors.
As a team we specialise in providing short term, non-clinical, holistic community support. You will be coordinating volunteers and peer mentors to maintain systems that help to facilitate clients accessing the service as quickly as is possible.
