Team Leader - Leicester City Drugs Team

Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point’s Leicester City Substance Misuse Services as the Team Leader of our Leicester City Drugs Team. You will lead your team of Recovery Workers, Advanced Practitioners and Volunteer Peer Mentors to deliver high quality drug treatment in Leicester City.

Role Responsibility

Supported by Leicester City’s Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the management team within the Leicester City Substance Misuse Service. You must be a dynamic and creative individual with a strong ability to form and maintain partnerships with key local organisations in Leicester City.

As well as managing a team of around 8-10 staff, you will be responsible for managing all the operations within your team.  You will schedule all staffing, ensuring a high quality service is delivered including assessments, one-to-one key-working, groups and clinical interventions. Your role in quality assurance will be key to supporting the service to maintain its CQC Outstanding rating.

With excellent attention to detail, you will ensure high quality performance of your team supporting service users to engage in and successfully complete their drug treatment.

The Ideal Candidate

As Team Leader you will need to have a good level of knowledge and understanding of the delivery of drug treatment as well as the ability to display strong management and leadership skills. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with staff, partner agencies, commissioners and the people we support.

Legislation recently introduced, which will come into force on 1 April 2022 means that for our services that conduct “Regulated Activity” as defined by the CQC, require us to ensure that any applicant is able to evidence at least one COVID-19 vaccination with a planned date scheduled for the second vaccination to take place by 1st April 2022 – therefore all offers will be made subject to candidates providing satisfactory evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status (or relevant exemption). Details of what will amount to satisfactory evidence can be provided upon request.
