Salary: Competitive.

At Turning Point, we are recognised leaders in helping people recover from addiction and gain control of their lives. By providing the right support at the right time, and making sure that people can find all the help they need, we have grown into one of the largest providers of substance misuse services in England and Wales. We are now looking for an experienced senior operations manager for a 6 month secondment to work within our community-based substance misuse services in the City of London and Hackney.

City and Hackney is a new fully integrated adult service delivered by Turning Point from October 2020. The service will be delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend and there is a focus on partnership working throughout the service to support those in the local community who need assistance to achieve their goals. We will deliver treatment and support across the neighbourhoods ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to recovery in this exciting new service

Role Responsibility

In this vital role you will be expected to lead this newly formed team through the implementation and transformation in line with our organisational bid. We are looking for an individual with proven leadership skills who has managed large teams and services before within Substance Misuse.

The Ideal Candidate

It is essential that the successful candidate can evidence the ability:

  • To manage and understand a variety of roles including, well-being workers, support workers, nurses and doctors’.
  • Have experience in the management of budgetary and performance issue as well as a variety of other contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and develop good commissioner relationships.
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Manage sub-contracts and external partnership with a variety of diverse organisations.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of embedding quality assurance systems and processes.
  • Experience of managing clinical services
