National PBS Practice Lead
Job Introduction
What does it take to become a leading health and social care organisation in the UK? It takes people who can turn lives around every day – providing encouragement, delivering innovative services and generally improving life for individuals with a learning disability or those affected by drug and alcohol misuse or mental health problems.
We are an experienced capable provider of complex learning disability, autism and mental health support services in England. Our experience includes being a market-leader in the provision of support under the Transforming Care Programme.
To match our ambition to grow the scope and scale of our work we have created a new prominent National PBS Practice Lead Role that provides further resilience across our delivery capabilities and practice development.
Role Responsibility
The PBS Practice Lead will influence, inform and improve overarching process and strategy as well as enhance individual case referral and management activities. Direct caseload review and support for operational colleagues will be a part of the role, as well as providing line management for the PBS and Autism Practitioner Team.
You will steer thought leadership to further our PBS approach and shape PBS competency, quality, assurance and improvement including inputting into our National Strategy and future iterations.
You will help shape and manage our delivery solutions by working in collaboration with our Senior Operations and Business Development Teams to provide your insight and guidance.
You will also proactively develop strategies and positive quality of life outcomes to reduce restrictive practices.
You would provide best practice leadership to local delivery teams and mentor resources engaged in PBS assessments and support. It is important that at all times you embrace and promote the dignity, rights, ambitions and potential of individuals we support to achieve and sustain their best lives.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need to have a significant experience of working as a Lead or Senior Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner and hold a formal relevant qualification.
You will also be qualified or be able to work towards recognised Trainer competencies to deliver expert instruction to your team and a wider internal audience.
Collaboration and team work with others will be essential, and you will need to use sound judgement when both leading and informing analysis, solution creation and decision processes.
You will need the confidence and skill to gain trust, alignment and consensus across multiple audiences.
