As a Senior Administrator we offer a starting salary of £24,150 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £28,252 per year. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

You will have opportunities to progress your career with a structured learning journey and clearly defined career pathways that will enable you to achieve your long-term goals and work to your strengths.

Whether you are looking to progress into a management and leadership role or to be a specialist in your field, at Turning point we will support and encourage you on your career journey.

Role Responsibility

This post will be based within our admin team and will support the Admin Team Leader and wider service. You will play a key role in a service that brings together substance use treatment, housing, outreach, GP, and mental health services to respond to the needs of the community in challenging circumstances.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Reporting local activity data across services including Herefordshire Recovery Service and the Rough Sleepers Project
  • Maintenance and data entry of client management systems
  • Monitoring local data quality and compliance
  • Provision of client system training
  • Recognise and understand local processes and provide effective system support to staff
  • Monitoring, analysis, and reporting, including data submissions
  • Ensure timely responses to scheduled and ad hoc data information requests
  • Some administrative tasks which may include data entry

As a Senior Administrator within the service you will be required to cover general administrative roles as necessary and ensure appropriate cover in partnership with the Admin Team Leader.

This role is based at our Hereford office, although flexibility will be required to provide admin support at several hubs across the county. This is a very varied role so you will need to be flexible and adaptable and be willing to take on a variety of roles as no two days will be the same.

The Ideal Candidate

If you are an experienced data professional or administrator with great Excel skills looking for a position that suits your skillset, we want to hear from you.

You will be data driven with an eye for detail. You will also have excellent communication skills and will be capable of building good working relationships with colleagues, service providers, commissioners, and other stakeholders.

Skills you will need:

  • Monitoring, analysis, and reporting, including data submissions
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent IT skills including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint Calendars, and digital media
  • Maths & English GCSE Grade C or above or equivalent qualification
  • Organised, with excellent planning and time management skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • A successful track record of delivering data/systems training to groups & individuals is advantageous

You do not necessarily need experience of the substance use sector, but you'll show that you can work best in a team, demonstrating a proven track record in administration preferably within a clinical setting although this is not essential. Your time management, organisational, IT and data analysis skills are just as important as your communication and people skills. Dynamic and driven, you are someone with a naturally positive disposition and will fit in really well within a team.
