Recovery Worker - Wakefield Inspiring Recovery
Job Introduction
Everyone’s Turning Point is unique. It’s the moment when they realise they’ve made a small, but important, step forward. Very often, that small step is the start of something bigger. But only when the right support, advice and services are in place. That’s where you come in.
Role Responsibility
At Wakefield Inspiring Recovery, our Get Connected service provides accredited educational programmes in Basic Skills, Customer Service and Employability alongside various externally accredited courses from our live training centre “Socialicious”. We also provide a range of activities for people with substance misuse problems, including Group Work, Healthy Living, Mindfulness, and Mutual Aid. Our aim is to help service users develop their life skills as they move towards recovery and provide further personal development to enable them to access employment, education and training opportunities.
You will be required to work flexibly Monday to Saturday.
The Ideal Candidate
Join us as a Recovery Worker and you will work alongside the management team to develop a recovery focused treatment programme. With previous experience in a substance misuse and/or social care setting, you will be a collaborative team player with a flexible approach and the ability to work effectively in a challenging and changeable environment. It goes without saying that you will need good communication skills, empathy and be able to interact with people at all levels.
For the right individual, this role presents an exceptional opportunity to progress a career within substance misuse services.
