Operations Manager - ROAR

Job Introduction

Fixed Term Contract – Up to 18 Months

We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to support the development of existing and new services in Rochdale and Oldham Active Recovery (ROAR) , our community based, integrated treatment service in Rochdale and Oldham.

Role Responsibility

  • To oversee and line manage managers of specific teams and their workstreams within ROAR.
  • To play a leading in role in the management of our quality and governance frameworks in particular working alongside the management team to embed learning and change and support the review and reporting on serious incidents and deaths.
  • To be contribute to the development of key stakeholder relationships to ensure effective integration with other local services including mental health, acute care and housing and homelessness services.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential requirements:

  • At least five years’ experience in substance misuse health or related health and social care setting at a management level
  • Experience of delivering drug, alcohol, or mental health services across a range of settings, or previous experience of managing community drug and alcohol services
  • Degree level education, or equivalent, and evidence of post graduate training
  • Experience of clinical governance and quality improvement approaches as they apply to substance misuse
  • Understanding of the CQC framework for inspection of substance misuse
  • Experience of improving service performance and maintaining that performance within a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in the pursuit of exceptional delivery of service outcomes to a range of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
  • Relationship building with senior key stakeholders to be able to maximise outcomes.
  • Innovation including across social care categories such as substance misuse, mental health or residential settings
  • Politically astute with an ability to establish positive organisational reputation with key stakeholders. Operating across strategic levels
  • Flexible and adaptable leadership style and approach in order to achieve outcomes whilst maintain employee engagement
  • Excellent record in leading, motivating and empowering staff to deliver high quality recovery focussed services
