An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point’s Leicestershire Substance Misuse Services as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker. You will join our large integrated service which delivers treatment across the whole of Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland. The role is within our Criminal Justice Team which work in Leicester City but also in locations throughout Leicestershire and Rutland.
Role Responsibility
As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker you will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, develop person centred recovery plans and run evidence based substance misuse interventions in group basis and individually. Your work will make a real difference; supporting individuals to make changes in their substance use and improving their overall quality of life.
You will work as part of a team made up of Recovery Workers, Managers, Doctors, Nurses and Peer Mentors. As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker you will also work very closely with Police, Probation and Prison partners. The role will be highly varied and may include working within Police custody suites, supporting individuals leaving prison or delivering interventions as part of enforceable Court orders, prison licences and out of court disposals.
A driving licence and car access is desirable but flexibility in travel across the county is essential. The ability to gain Police or Prison clearance may be required for this role.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, efficient and organised and have a real passion for supporting service users to achieve recovery. A keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and willingness to work with offenders to help turn their lives around is a must.
