Right now, we are now looking for a talented Access & Engagement Manager to work within our community-based substance misuse services in the City of London and Hackney.
The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend and there is a focus on partnership working throughout the service to support those in the local community who need assistance to achieve their goals. We deliver treatment and support across the neighbourhoods ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to recovery in this service.

Role Responsibility
The crucial role will have a specific focus on embedding an outreach and satellite service delivery model, with an emphasis on prevention, reducing health inequalities and maximising accessibility. Working in partnership with colleagues in Mind CHWF and London Friend, leading a team made up of several specialist roles to engage specific cohorts of clients including:
- Diverse communities
- LGBT
- Dual diagnosis
- Homelessness
An exciting and challenging role that will assisting in delivering Turning Point’s Substance Misuse strategy within an integrated service which reflects our person centred values and the high levels of ambition we have, both for the recovery of the individuals for whom we provide support and the development of our own staff. This is done by assisting the Deputy Operations Manager in leading, developing and co-ordinating teams within your service to ensure the delivery of high quality, innovative and cost effective care.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Requirements:
- Substance misuse appreciation (drug and alcohol awareness).
- Knowledge/understanding of substance misuse harm reduction/recovery service delivery models.
- Commitment to customer service (promoting in the hub an empathy with clients and the need to work collaboratively with them to understand and help to meet their needs).
- Effective communication (inspiring and motivating others, listening effectively, handling challenging situations and communicating confidently with direct reports, colleagues, senior managers, commissioners and medical professionals).
- Delivering positive outcomes (coordinating plans for the hub to shape and deliver outcomes, monitoring progress and addressing emerging concerns, modelling personal accountability).
