Trainee Recovery Worker - Impact (Wiltshire)
Job Introduction
Fixed Term Contract – Up to 12 months (Possible Extension / Permanent Contract)
At Turning Point we provide services across the whole country which delivers end to end drug and alcohol treatment and support, family services, housing advice and support for those in contact with the criminal justice system, needle exchange system, and custody outreach. We are a specialist in delivering whole treatment system approaches across cities and county areas, which has led to the reduction in people falling through gaps between services and delivers improved outcomes.
Due to additional government investment we now have some exciting opportunities for individuals looking to start their career within social care as Trainee Recovery Workers. You will be offered the scope and support to enhance your own career as you gain the experience and training you need to develop as a Recovery Worker.
During the 12 months you will be offered a range of blended learning to understand your role, responsibilities and the sector you are working in. There will be further development opportunities available which may include qualifications or internal accredited learning.
The starting salary for these positions is £18,000 - £19,000 which will rise up to £22,450 upon successful completion of probation at 6 months with future scope thereafter.
Role Responsibility
As a Trainee Recovery worker you will work in a variety of settings and you will learn how to manage a caseload of clients, undertake assessments, develop person centred recovery plans and support individuals to turn their lives around. You'll form part of a friendly multi-disciplinary team and work with other agencies and build relationships with families and professionals to make sure each person gets the right care for their needs.
This is a rewarding role where you can make a real difference to peoples lives as you support individuals on their recovery journey.

We are looking to recruit candidates with a can do attitude and those are who committed to inspiring the possibility of recovery in others. With the training on offer, experience in the sector is an advantage but not essential and its more important to us to have a willingness to learn and develop your skills along with a passion for working with our clients.
