Test Engineer
Job Introduction
Turning Point has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test Engineer to join our team. The purpose of this role will be to define, document and perform unit and regression test cases using Selenium Webdriver, TestNG, Jenkins and Katalon Studio for example and cloud based testing platforms.

Role Responsibility
Quality and Assurance
- Liaise with development managers to understand application development plans to enable test planning to be carried out effectively
- Ensure that testing documentation is produced to allow the business to make informed go/no go decisions for individual applications based on residual risk information
- Embed and enforce industry standard best practices in testing
- Provide advice and guidance to others on the necessary processes and practices of effective testing
- Gather metrics to measure the quality of applications and the effectiveness of testing
Insight and Innovation
- Implement a process to retrospectively review project quality performance to inform a continuous improvement plan
- Research appropriate testing tools and technologies and develop plans for their adoption where appropriate and cost effective
- Maintain and develop automated testing processes with appropriate tooling
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience of testing web/cloud based applications and at least 2 years of Automation testing. In addition:
- Be well versed with Automation Tool – Katalon Suite and its use
- Have the ability to build automation framework from scratch (TestNG, Jenkins)
- Be proficient in ANSII standard SQL
- Experience with JIRA or JIRA like platforms
Desirable but not essential experience:
- Previous experience of clinical applications such as Carepath, Rio, System One, Millennium or Cambio
- Knowledge of HR systems such as Midland HR’s iTrent
- Knowledge of Finance systems such as Sun Systems
