We're looking for an inspirational and experienced Team Manager to lead our dedicated team at Leigh Bank Residential Rehabilitation Service. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a specialist residential setting, supporting people on their recovery journey from substance use and helping them build positive, sustainable futures.
As Team Manager, you will provide strong operational leadership across the service, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, person-centred care whilst creating a positive and supportive environment for both colleagues and the people we support.
This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week across a 7-day rota, requiring flexibility to meet the needs of a residential service operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Role Responsibility
As Team Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Providing day-to-day leadership and operational management of the residential rehabilitation service.
- Leading, motivating and developing a multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent outcomes.
- Ensuring high-quality, safe and effective support is delivered in line with regulatory requirements and Turning Point standards.
- Managing staffing resources, rotas, recruitment, induction and performance management processes.
- Maintaining compliance with safeguarding, governance, health and safety and clinical requirements.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and recovery-focused practice.
- Monitoring service performance against key quality and operational indicators.
- Building positive relationships with commissioners, external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting service development and contributing to the achievement of strategic objectives.
- Ensuring the service maintains a welcoming, therapeutic and psychologically informed environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is passionate about recovery and can demonstrate:
Essential
- Previous management or leadership experience within health, social care, substance use, mental health or residential services.
- Experience managing teams and supporting professional development.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities within a busy service environment.
- Experience of partnership working with external agencies and stakeholders.
- Commitment to person-centred and recovery-focused approaches.
- IT literacy and experience using electronic systems and performance reporting tools.
Desirable
- Professional qualification related to health, social care, management or substance use services.
- Experience within a residential rehabilitation or supported living environment.
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.
- Understanding of therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches.
