Team Manager – North Tyneside Recovery Partnership

Do you want to help build a brighter future for communities and individuals in North Tyneside doing a highly rewarding job.  The North Tyneside Recovery Partnership provides dedicated support to anyone experiencing problems with drugs and/or alcohol.  The service is delivered in collaboration between Cumbria Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Trust as the lead provider with Turning Point and Changing Lives delivering dedicated elements of the service. 

As a Team Manager you will assist in delivering Turning Point’s substance use strategy within a multi-disciplinary service which reflects our person centred values and the high levels of ambition we have both for the recovery of the individuals for whom we provide support and the development of our own staff, whilst also working collaboratively within the partnership.

Role Responsibility

Supported by the Senior Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the NTRP partnership’s management team, overseeing the day to day operations of a dedicated staff team.  It is essential that you are able to work creatively with an ability to form key relationships with both partners and wider stakeholders. 

You will be driven by high quality standards to ensure the performance of your team and will be able to understand and interpret key performance data to contribute to service development and the implementation of new intitiatives as required. 

You will provide visible leadership, effective supervision, coaching and career development opportunities for team members. 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Demonstratable leadership skills and flexible and adaptable leadership style;
  • In depth understanding and ability to operationally and performance manage the functions of the team;
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written). Ability to adapt to respond to staff, commissioners/partners and people we support;
  • Strong organisational, time management and prioritisation skills;
  • Ability to remain calm and resilient in high pressure environments;
  • Ability to work in partnership across a range of settings;

Desirable:

  • Previous experience managing similar service/team;
  • Management qualification or equivalent;
