Team Leader - Midpoint - internal applicants only

Job Introduction

At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health needs. As a Team Leader within mental health, you’ll make a real difference to their lives. You will work alongside the operations manager and support both the residential service and three outreach services. You will be required to lease with other services and commissioners, be able to promote the services. You must be able to work using your own initiative. Good understanding of service budgets. Line management is essential. Herts Community Mental Health Services is a combination of four services.

Role Responsibility

As a Team Leader your main duties would include:

  • working alongside the operations manager and support both the residential service and three outreach services
  • liaising with other services and commissioners and be able to promote the services
  • being able to work using your own initiative
  • assisting with the managing of the 4 Herts Community Mental Health Services
  • leading, managing and developing the HCMHS teams
  • ensuring quality standards are maintained

The Ideal Candidate

  • The successful candidate should have extensive experience in working in mental health
  • Previous line management experience is essential
  • Minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Computer skills are essential
  • Full driving licence and use of a vehicle for work
  • Good communication skills
  • Good understanding of service budgets
