Senior Operations Manager - Wakefield Talking Therapies

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity to join Turning Point and be part of our highly successful and innovative ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) service. This is a primary care mental health service supporting people with anxiety and depression disorders where we specialise in evidence–based psychological therapies. We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Operations Manager to join and operationally lead the team.

Role Responsibility

The service was initially established in 2009 and the suitable candidate will want to make a real difference to client’s lives as you oversee the operational delivery of the service. You will be passionate about people, and will have a real opportunity to drive innovation and change.

The role is based in Wakefield but with the flexibility to work from home up two days per week too. Face to face working in the office allows you to establish a positive culture, build rapport and enriches the personal development to have  team members of all levels in the same space.

You will have proven managerial and leadership experience, knowledge of mental health and be an excellent communicator. You will be accustomed to liaising with internal and external stakeholders and have experience of working in the Health and Social Care Sector. IAPT specific experience is not essential but we are looking for an individual who is adept at managing challenge, meeting deadlines and  working in a target driven environment. You will also be committed to promoting equality and diversity in all aspects of service delivery. We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate empathy and understanding to those we support and ensure that the relevant staff members share your desire to provide the best possible care.

The Ideal Candidate

You will ideally already have experience of working in the Health and Social Care sector with an understanding of Mental Health. You should also have strong line management and leadership  experience. It’s essential that you have a track record of meeting targets and managing your own workload. In addition, you will also have experience of contract management, commissioner liaison, partnership working besides the ability to effectively manage a large budget.
