Female Support Worker

At Turning Point, we're looking for caring, committed and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to join our friendly service in Leamington Spa. Whether you're already working in care or looking for a complete career change, we'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

This is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, develop new skills and help people live fulfilling, independent lives while being part of a supportive and experienced team.

No experience is required, just the right values and a willingness to learn.

About the Service

You'll be supporting eight individuals with profound and multiple learning disabilities, as well as additional health needs including epilepsy and congenital conditions.

Every person we support is unique, and your role will be to help them live as independently as possible while achieving the things that are important to them.

The service has a warm, welcoming community feel and strong family involvement. During the year, we enjoy a variety of activities, celebrations and events, helping the people we support remain connected to their local community and enjoy meaningful experiences.

You will also have the opportunity to develop specialist skills, including supporting non-verbal communication through signing, visual aids and person-centred approaches.

Shift Patterns

This is a 24-hour service, so flexibility is essential.

You'll work a variety of shifts which may include:

  • Early shifts
  • Late shifts
  • Waking nights
  • Sleep-ins
  • Weekends and bank holidays

Rotas are provided in advance wherever possible to help support a positive work-life balance.

What Will I Be Doing?

No two days are the same in this role. You could be:

  • Supporting people to develop independence and daily living skills
  • Assisting with personal care and mobility support
  • Supporting medication administration
  • Encouraging hobbies, interests and social activities
  • Planning days out, holidays and community activities
  • Helping people maintain relationships with family and friends
  • Supporting health and wellbeing needs
  • Completing digital care records and documentation
  • Working as part of a dedicated and passionate team
