Specialist Polish Speaking Alcohol Recovery Worker - LLR (Leicester)
Job Introduction
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point’s Leicester City substance misuse team. Your role will focus on engaging with and delivering treatment and support to Polish individuals with alcohol issues. The work will focus on supporting our Polish clients with alcohol issues to successfully engage in treatment and achieve positive outcomes.
As a Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £23k rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £27k per year.

Role Responsibility
- To provide high quality case management and support to Polish individuals in their alcohol treatment
- To provide verbal and written information in Polish to individuals to support engagement
- Work collaboratively with partners in supporting engagement from those within the Polish community that require support for alcohol issues
- Improve the health and social outcomes for Polish individuals accessing our service
- Supporting other Recovery Workers who may have Polish speaking clients on their caseloads with engagement of those service users
- Deliver psychosocial treatment interventions in a 1 to 1 or group setting
Your role will focus on engaging with and delivering treatment within Leicester City for those who need support with their substance misuse from the Polish community.
You will work with a caseload of individuals in treatment, delivering alcohol treatment on both a one-to-one and group basis helping individuals reduce or stop their substance use.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be highly engaging and have a real passion for supporting people. You must be able to fluently converse in Polish and have an understanding of substance use and have a desire to support those that need help, assisting them in overcoming barriers to accessing services. You do not need to be an expert in drugs and alcohol as full training will be provided, but you must have a genuine belief in the capacity of individuals to change.
It is a busy role so excellent time management skills and experience in accurate and timely record keeping is useful.
You will be required to travel to community sites so access to a car and a driving licence would be beneficial.
