Service Manager - Nottingham Angel Lace
Job Introduction
This exciting new development within Nottingham City welcomes enthusiastic applicants to apply for this rare opportunity to be involved in shaping a brand new service that will support individuals with complex mental health needs.
We aim to assist people we support to improve their lives and ability to live independently. You will be managing a supported living service for individuals whom may have dual diagnoses, legal restrictions, a history of drug and/or alcohol use and complex self-harming behaviours.
You will lead a team consisting of a team leader, recovery workers and a dual diagnosis lead. You will be working with other agencies to ensure that appropriate community integration is achieved and a successful journey for the people we support through their recovery pathway, promoting independence and positive risk taking.
Turning Point has several well-established services within Nottingham. You will form part of a wider supportive management team within the region and there is the opportunity for growth in the future.
Role Responsibility
- To be responsible for leading a team, ensuring a high standard of service delivery and quality of the service provided at Angel Lace
- To ensure that health and safety standards are maintained and risk levels are managed on a day to day basis
- To work collaboratively with all individuals we support, staff and key stakeholders to ensure that the service has a strong recovery focused ethos
- To be responsible for the service budget
You will be required to work 37 hours per week and participate in an on call rota.

The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a Service Manager who knows how to lead teams and gain people's trust quickly. Although a health or social care qualification would be an advantage, you don't need any formal qualifications as full training will be given. At least 1 year experience in a similar role would also be a big advantage. What is essential is that you have a positive attitude, a willingness to 'go the extra mile' and an awareness of the issues experienced by the people you will be supporting, and can bring transparency and flexibility to work In return, you'll be supported with outstanding training and career development opportunities.
In a role where no two days are the same your ability to work individually and as part of team to prioritise your workload, as well as having excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and a positive attitude in a changeable environment will be key.
