Senior Recovery Worker - Leicester Crisis House
Job Introduction
Leicestershire and Rutland crisis service was established in 2015 to work with people experiencing a mental health crisis who may otherwise need an admission to hospital. We aim to assist service users to overcome their crisis in variety of ways including one to one and group support, practical strategies to cope with symptoms, and advice and information to improve the person’s ability to live independently.
Working closely with other agencies to ensure that appropriate care and risk management plans are delivered, we provide the service in a variety of settings including a 6 bed crisis house, in the community and via a 24/7 telephone Helpline.
Role Responsibility
Join our team and you will be responsible for working with service users as well as having supervisory responsibility for members of the team ensuring that a recovery focused approach is embedded within the service. You will engage with service users through group work and activities and support the team to do the same.
In a role where no two days are the same your ability to work individually and as part of team to prioritise your workload, as well as having excellent communication skills, a flexible approach and a positive attitude in a changeable environment will be key.
The Ideal Candidate
You’ll need previous relevant experience of using person centred approach in a mental health setting and a good understanding of the complex needs of clients in crisis.
You will be required to work up to 24hrs hours per week in a shift pattern including weekends, bank holidays and overnights.
