Senior Quality Advisor - Mental Health and Learning Disabilities

Job Introduction

The quality of our services means everything to us. Everything we do is aimed at providing safe, good quality, person-centred services, guiding managers to deliver the right support, right care, right culture and making a real difference for the people and communities we support.

This role is part of a high impact team who audit, advise and coach, frontline managers and services, to improve the quality of services provided to people with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

Health and social care expertise is critical to the role and we will fully support you to actively develop your expertise in and beyond your role. We offer excellent training opportunities, support for continuous professional development, professional revalidation and professional memberships. We welcome applicants interested in apprenticeships.

Role Responsibility

As a key member of a national team, you will be the go-to advisor for health and social care quality. You will support a portfolio of services to achieve positive CQC and Ofsted inspection outcomes and advise and coach them on how to continually improve.

The role includes regular audit visits to services, some of which may require an overnight stay. There are target levels of audits and reports, some of which are conducted remotely, and so you will sometimes need to be flexible with the hours you are able to work, but you will benefit from a level of autonomy and flexibility to suit you too.

As part of a dedicated team, you’ll have the development, support, and encouragement you need to excel in your role.

Key Responsibilities:

•            Critically assess and analyse multiple information systems.

•            Confidently present audit findings to managers.

•            Make recommendations for improvement based on the applicable regulations, policies, and evidence-based practices.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience working in multi-site, multi-agency health and social care settings. They may be a nurse or a similar registered professional (e.g., RNLD, RMN, OT, SLT) with expertise in supporting individuals with mental health needs, learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.

You must be self-motivated and capable of working independently for extended periods.

We are looking for an effective team player with strong communication skills and a positive outlook.

You also need to be adaptable and resilient to the sector’s challenges, including both planned and unplanned variations in caseload.
