Senior Operations Manager - ROAR

Job Introduction

Turning Point is a leading Social Enterprise which supports people with a wide range of complex needs across Learning Disabilities, Mental Health, Substance Misuse and Public Health. 

Turning Point is looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead its Rochdale and Oldham service. This important role will be expected to lead a multi-disciplinary team supporting clients, their families and the community around the issues caused by substance misuse. Our service received a GOOD overall in our CQC Inspection (17 September 2019) and Outstanding for Leadership. We are looking for an individual with proven leadership skills who has managed large teams and services before.

Role Responsibility

  • To act as the operational lead for a very large service or a number of medium sized and smaller services. Manage a portfolio of services with a revenue/contract value of between £5M - £8M per annum. Ensuring that the service’s contractual and national KPIs are met or exceeded and the service’s wider performance metrics, particularly finance, are achieved.
  • To ensure a cohesive and productive team deliver high quality client centred services and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders, commissioners and influencers locally.
  • To ensure that the service is well positioned for retender and growth, including contractual ‘bolt-on’s and growth in neighbouring areas.

The Ideal Candidate

It is essential that the successful candidate can evidence the ability to:

  •  Be the CQC Registered Manager for the service and ensure quality assurance across the service
  • To lead and  manage a multi- disciplinary team including, well-being workers, nurses and doctors’.
  • Have experience in the management of budgetary and performance issue as well as a variety of other contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and develop good commissioner relationships.
  • Have excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Manage sub-contracts and external partnership with a variety of diverse organisations.
  • Demonstrate a strong track record of improving outcomes for the people we support
  • Experience of managing clinical services
