We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Assistant Psychologist to join the new Turning Point Mental Health Treatment Requirement team within Somerset. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic, creative and highly successful team, providing high quality evidence-based psycho-social interventions to clients.
As a Senior Assistant Psychologist, we offer a starting salary of £30,144 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to per year £34,922 (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).
Role Responsibility
The role of the MHTR Senior Assistant Psychologist is to support the assessment and delivery of interventions to adults identified through the court system, you will work with partners including NHS, probation and courts in identifying those individuals who will benefit from the MHTR offer. You will work under regular supervision of a Practitioner Psychologist. The post holder will assist in clinically related administration, deliver tailored psycho-social interventions, administer questionnaires and outcome measures, conduct audits, collect data and statistics, and contribute to research projects and training.
The Ideal Candidate
You will need at least a 2:1 degree in psychology and eligibility for graduate membership with the British Psychological Society and experience in an Assistant Psychologist post. The ideal candidate will demonstrate some understanding of the criminal justice system and mental health services. You will have experiences of delivering psychosocial interventions (individually or in groups) and demonstrate an understanding of research and service evaluation processes. The focus of the role will be on providing assessments and delivering bespoke MHTR interventions as part of a community treatment requirement across Somerset.
