We are now looking for a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to join our fast-growing team.
The position is to work a 37-hour week. There is flexibility to work the hours between 08.00 and 18.00 with the expectation to work one evening a week.
Role Responsibility
You will provide psychological interventions to a range of adults with common mental health difficulties. You will receive support, supervision and training from a team of highly experienced clinical supervisors as well as in-service training to support your continued learning and development (CPD).
You will work with people via our IAPT waiting list service, both 1:1 and group facilitation. You may also want to vary the people you offer treatment and support to, i.e. with our Employee Wellbeing provision (over 100 companies signed up), including an internal wellbeing service for Turning Point (1:1 and group).
If you want to focus on clinical practice and maintain your registration with your preferred professional body we can help you do this. In doing so we will provide you with a wealth of support, supervision, training, learning, space to reflect and learn.
We offer emotional and psychological support to Mental Health First Aiders (1:1 and group) and we offer short-term and on-going therapy between our different services.
We are continually developing the services we provide, including offering therapy to Young People, Couples Counselling and Typed-CBT. You can be involved / trained in as many of these are you would like.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have completed an IAPT compliant BABCP approved course.
Whilst our support teams are based in Manchester, our services are provided via the telephone and therefore we expect candidates will work from home and will accept applications from candidates based anywhere in the UK. You will need a quiet and confidential place to work at home with a good broadband connection. There may be rare occasions where travel to Manchester is required for meetings and training.
