Recovery Worker - Reducing Reoffending - Starting Over

Turning Point Tri-Borough Reducing Reoffending Service ‘Starting Over’ is seeking to recruit a Recovery Worker (Reducing Reoffending) to work in the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
Starting Over is a reducing reoffending service- We support clients to desist from crime by addressing their needs including issues relating to drugs, alcohol, mental health, learning disabilities, housing and employment, training and education. We work closely with the local IOM Teams.
Role Responsibility
As a Recovery Worker we are looking for a new colleague with a strong background in reducing reoffending or an allied area- also desirable will be substance misuse, housing and mental health experience. Your role will be to deliver assessment of risk and person-centred rehabilitation activities as well as to maintain close working relations with key partners.
The Ideal Candidate
This vital role calls for experience in substance misuse and working within integrated, community settings, preferably in a busy urban setting. You will certainly know how to deliver a range of services, treatments and interventions in a person-centred way. This must be supported by strong knowledge of how to identify and support clients through risk, dual diagnosis, safe guarding and child protection issues. You will also need a good understanding of the recovery agenda and of combining medical and psycho-social support tools for maximum effect. Add to all these strengths excellent written and spoken communication skills, and you will quickly make your mark as part of our team.
