Recovery Support Volunteer - DAWS

This opportunity is based in our West London Service DAWS (Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing Service) and you would be working in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea or Hammersmith and Fulham.

  • You’ll be available to volunteer for between 1 and 3 days a week and be able to commit to the post for at least 6 months.
  • Full training and induction will be given
  • Out of pocket expenses will be paid

Role Responsibility

You’ll be joining a busy and exciting multidisciplinary team in one of the most dynamic Drug and Alcohol Services in the country.

You’ll be helping our team by assisting with day to day activities including Drug and Alcohol testing, Blood Bourne Virus screenings, administration, meet and greet, supporting group work and possibly even carry a small caseload.

You'll receive regular supervision and a blended training programme which combines situated learning with on-demand online resources.  You will have a buddy on site to answer your questions and queries and support you whilst you’re at work.  This post will provide the opportunity for the volunteer to gain valuable training, experience and skills in the Substance Misuse field.
