Project Worker - Midpoint - internal applicants only

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Midpoint is a well-established residential service that works with fourteen service users with severe and enduring mental health issues including complex needs. We aim to assist these service users in making the transition from hospital and secure settings to more independent living in the community and work closely with other agencies to ensure that appropriate care and risk management plans are delivered.

Role Responsibility

Join our team as a Project Workers and you will be responsible for your own caseload, undertaking risk assessments, supporting with medication, line management and experience and promoting recovery focused care plans. In a role where no two days are the same, you will engage with our clients through group work and activities, providing individual support and enabling them to make informed choices about their future.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll need previous relevant experience of using a person centred approach in a mental health setting, experience of working in mental health and a good understanding of the complex needs of our clients. You must be capable of prioritising your own workload and using your initiative, and experience of working with individuals who have forensic histories would be an advantage. An effective team player, you will possess good communication skills, a flexible approach, a positive attitude and be able to adapt in a changeable environment.

NVQ level 3 in health and social care or equivalent is desirable, or a willingness to work towards this.

You will be required to work 37 hours per week, in a shift pattern including weekends, and bank holidays, so you’ll need to be flexible with the hours you are able to work.
