Prevalence Manager - Total Wellbeing Luton

Job Introduction

Total Wellbeing Luton was a newly commissioned service in April 2018 to provide an innovative approach which aims to support both the emotional and physical health needs of people across Luton. The service brings together a range of evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing emotional health concerns early whilst encouraging and enabling the adoption of healthier lifestyles, including; stopping smoking, weight management, increasing physically active, managing and reducing the impact of long-term conditions.

Role Responsibility

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Talking Therapy Team as a Prevalence Manager. This role requires someone passionate about promoting mental wellbeing and will require someone who is energetic and enthusiastic about engaging with individuals and groups of people who may need our service.   

As a Prevalence Manager your primary responsibility will be to support the service to meet our ‘entering treatment’ which is national target, by facilitating and coordinating the booking and delivery of workshops across Luton, key to this will be promoting the service and working closely with other stakeholders in the area so they understand IAPT and the interventions that it can offer. In this role you will have opportunity to make a real difference to people who are experiencing mental health problems such as mild to moderate symptoms of depression, anxiety and low mood.

The Ideal Candidate

For this role you will require outstanding written and telephone communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively, independently, be highly organised with attention to detail and have the ability to promote the service and manage this target as part of a busy management team. You are likely to have a background in general administration, driving targets, community or service development, and have experience of managing people. The role will also include the line management of staff throughout the service in different positions so having experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team would be beneficial.

As a team we specialise in evidence based psychological therapies and you will be leading a team to develop and maintain systems that help to facilitate clients accessing the service as quickly as is possible or at a time that suits them, when they need it most.
