Part-time Recovery Worker - Peckham Rye
Job Introduction
Peckham Rye is Southwark-based forensic residential service for men with a history of offending. Peckham Rye provides lower support step-down accommodation for 8 residents.
Role Responsibility
Join our team as a Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will include some line management, as well as day to day duties around the project, including undertaking risk assessments, promoting recovery focused care and support plans. In a role where no two days are the same, you will engage with our clients through group work and activities, providing individual support and enabling them to make informed choices about their future.
The Ideal Candidate
We're looking for a candidate with a minimum of 2 years' experience working in the Mental Health sector. An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent will go a long way. You will have experience of working within a forensic and/or mental health setting, and your experience with supporting vulnerable adults within a residential setting would be desirable. Full training is provided in order for the successful candidate to work safely, to learn and develop within the role and beyond. The role involves working shifts including weekends.
Driven and passionate, you won't have a problem with multitasking and dealing with conflicting deadlines and crisis situations. And of course, as a Recovery Worker, you'll love talking to people with different needs, be genuinely interested in helping them, and possess a deep level of empathy, understanding and patience for people suffering from an acute mental health crisis.
