Night Recovery Worker - Beacon Lodge

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health issues. As a Night Recovery Worker, you'll make a real difference to their lives. Passionate about people, you'll enjoy the scope and support to enhance your own life and career too.

Beacon Lodge is a mental health step down unit for people leaving acute mental health inpatient care. The service provides support to individuals transitioning back to independent living within the community.

We provide a safe and proactive service to help people recover and move on to live independently in the wider community.

Role Responsibility

Join our team as a Night Recovery Worker and you will be responsible supporting staff in the day to day duties of the project, undertaking risk assessments, promoting recovery focused care and support plans. In a role where no two days are the same, you will engage with our clients providing individual and group support and enabling them to make informed choices about their future.

The night shifts start at 9:45 pm, finishing at 8:15 am on a rolling rota, working a pattern of 3 nights a week and 4 nights the following week.

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for a candidate with a minimum of 1 years’ experience working in the Mental Health sector. An NVQ Level 3 or equivalent will go a long way. Full training is provided in order for the successful candidate to work safely, to learn and develop within the role and beyond. The role involves working waking night shifts which includes alternate weekends.

Driven and passionate, you won't have a problem with multitasking and dealing with conflicting deadlines and crisis situations. And of course, as a Night Recovery Worker, you'll love talking to people with different needs, be genuinely interested in helping them, and possess a deep level of empathy, understanding and patience for people.
