Job Introduction
Are people always telling you that you are the most calm and positive person that they know? Are you the type of person who is able to look behind what others could consider as challenging behaviours and see the real meaning of the communication which may be a cry of frustration at a world that doesn’t listen?
How would you like to work four nights one week and three the next? We value our team and your wellbeing and ensure that you get adequate rest days within your shift pattern.
What kind of service you ask? This service works with a wonderful group of people to identify options and the motivation to move forward. It’s a supported housing service for people with a history of homelessness, but also helps people conquer issues like substance use and mental ill-health. We also responsible for the safety of everyone accessing the service. Our goal is to help people back on their feet with support from our team and other local partners.
At Turning Point, we support people across the UK with mental health issues. You will make a real difference to their lives as you work closely with them to help them achieve their potential. Role Responsibility
This role is about ensuring the security of the guests, and the site. You will also be supporting them, listening to them when they want to talk, helping to diffuse tense situations. Part of your role will also involve helping to keep the service clean.
We need someone resilient with a proactive attitude and a genuine desire to help people from all walks of life. We need someone who can listen and follow instructions precisely. You'll need to have an acute awareness of our surroundings and what is happening within the service and be able to report any concerns.
