Marketing Assistant

Job Introduction

Turning Point is seeking a talented Marketing Assistant to support the organisation and execution of a range of Turning Point Marketing activities, to ensure effective delivery against our ambitious plans.

We’re a social enterprise, providing health and social care services supporting over 100,000 people around the country.

We work with people who need our support with their drug and alcohol use, mental health, offending behaviour, unemployment issues or learning disability.

Role Responsibility

The Marketing Assistant coordinate and support delivery of the marketing and communications activities to engage people with the services we offer

You’ll be doing a wide range of activities, including;

  • Supporting the team with planning, production and delivery of marketing campaigns and content, including video, photography, email, website, social, print and digital 
  • Working with the National Marketing Manager to schedule and deliver against Marketing requests from services in a timely and cost-efficient way
  • Setting up end-to-end email and social campaigns using our marketing platforms, ensuring the data, customer journey, creative and reporting is managed effectively
  • Using Hootsuite to engage our audience and build an ongoing rapport
  • Proactively identifying opportunities to engage with the people we support, and making recommendations for activity
  • Ensuring good utilisation of our template tool across the business, helping manage the templates, requests, and content available to users
  • Conducting desk-based research to help inform our marketing strategies and plans
  • Supporting with general administration tasks on behalf of the Marketing team

The Ideal Candidate

This area of Turning Point is fast paced, and always changing to adapt to the needs of our consumers.

To be considered for the role you will need to have previous some marketing experience and a real passion to support people discover new possibilities in their lives. 

You’re a positive and motivated individual whose focus on the customer need delivers great work that drives results.

 We’re also looking for some of the following

  • A working knowledge of digital marketing 
  • Experience in managing social media channels, email marketing and website content
  • You have hands-on experience of creating content, writing copy and other creative skills
  • An ability to turn ideas into effective campaigns
  • High degree of competency using MS Office
  • A passion for supporting people with our range of services, including Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, and Drug and Alcohol Misuse.
  • Fantastic communication skills that you use to engage a wide range of people
  • You want to continually learn and develop your marketing skill set
