IPS Team Manager - Roads to Recovery

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our established Turning Point Employment Service in Oxfordshire using the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model. Our established IPS Service is making a big impact for people engaged with treatment services and we have a strong track record of delivering positive outcomes for those seeking work.

As IPS Team Manager you’ll have the chance to make a real difference to the lives of the people we support with drug and alcohol use, leading a team, as well as having your own caseload,  to help people finding employment. As a IPS Team Manager, we offer a salary XXX per year. The IPS Oxfordshire Team Manager will be assigned to one of our Treatment Hubs and will be expected to work across all our Oxfordshire Treatment Hubs.

Main Responsibilities

As IPS Team Leader in TP Oxfordshire, you will manage a team of employment specialists workers holding caseloads of substance using clients in treatment who would like help to find employment.

You will have experience in the delivery of specialist employment services and a passion for making a difference to the lives of the people we support. Partnership working will play an important role in your day-today work and you will have experience in building and maintaining excellent relationships with local organisations/employers to support the work of your team. Internally you will work closely with other managers and staff from teams across Oxfordshire to ensure the IPS service is fully integrated into the service and is receiving necessary volumes if referrals.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record in delivery of employment services
  • In depth knowledge of IPS service delivery
  • Carry a caseload to support service users to identify and meet their vocational goals by providing individually tailored programmes using a person-centred approach
  • Experience of supervising a team or, if new to management, supporting, mentoring or coaching colleagues/volunteers;
  • Build potential employment opportunities through proactive engagement with potential employers
  • Numeracy, literacy and IT skills
