Job Introduction

At Turning Point we provide 24-7 care to some of the most vulnerable people in society. Everything we do is aimed at providing the very best quality and person-centred support in the right location at the right time, making a real difference for the people and communities we support.

We currently have immediate bank, temporary and permanent opportunities for Support Workers, Recovery Workers and Nursing staff across all our services nationwide. We have opportunities in Learning Disabilities, Mental Health and our Substance Misuse and Public Health business units.

We want to provide the very  best care and support that we can offer and with the challenge that Covid 19 brings  we are reaching out  to people from all sectors to let you know about the different opportunities that are available.

 

Role Responsibility

 As a support worker  duties could include a full range of daily activities including cleaning and cooking, days out or going away on holiday; Arranging activities in the home and in the local community; Developing residents' life skills and personal interests and helping residents stay safe and healthy; Assisting with personal care needs, Manual handling and medication, and ensuring record keeping is maintained to the required standard at all times and contributing to service monitoring requirements.

As a Recovery worker you will be supporting people with Substance Misuse and or Mental Health Issues providing personal, flexible and realistic support packages working closely with healthcare professionals, GPs and Social services to help people turn their lives around.

Our nursing staff across all sectors provide clinical excellence working as part of a wider multi disciplinary team delivering all the clinical support necessary to meet individuals needs.

The level and style of care required will vary across our services with our main focus being on promoting the independence of people we support
