For over 56 years we have worked with those affected by drug and alcohol misuse, mental health conditions, offending behaviour, unemployment and people with learning disabilities.

We currently employ doctors, nurses, psychologists, psychiatrists, recovery workers, care workers, and support workers with our services supporting over 112,000 people per year
We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Marketing to join Turning Point and lead our marketing team. This is a new role with lots of scope for development and will lead our approach to strategic, digital marketing, advertising and creative projects – which will drive our organisation forward and support our future growth.
A dynamic role where you will have responsibility for the leadership of the marketing team; building on Turning Point’s presence in the market and profitability in new product areas. Leading a small team you will develop innovative strategies for the Turning Point brand(s), translating our organisational vision into exciting marketing initiatives that further enhances our reach and communicates our values.
Role Responsibility
What are the key responsibilities of this role?
- Create and implement a Marketing Strategy for Turning Point & Commercial Ventures-prioritising our presence as an integrated health and social care provider
- Ensuring the delivery of cutting edge, high quality marketing campaigns that expands our reach across different geographies and markets
- Develop and manage the Turning Point brands in both digital and non-digital platforms using the latest marketing techniques that appropriately communicate our vision and values.
- Develop a deep understanding of market intelligence across our industry by initiating and commissioning research to meet and reflect the ever changing needs of our commissioners and the people we support
- Use your expertise to support our senior leadership team with the development of local marketing campaigns – understanding the customer experience, future markets and changes within the industry which drive local and org wide growth
- Develop and deliver integrated and innovative marketing solutions designed to:
- Retain and win contracts
- Attract (new) customers and individuals
- Strengthen and build our brand and that of our commercial ventures’ brands
- Reposition brands to access new markets where necessary
- Support the development of the marketing for our new products, including private pay and direct to the consumer
The Ideal Candidate
- Commercial Flair for strategic development - a highly experienced and creative marketer who is used to developing marketing strategies across businesses that operate in different areas and has a mix of products portfolios
- A Marketing Expert - experience in advising Senior Leadership teams and Board of Directors on exciting marketing strategies that enhance the organisations profile
- A great Influencer/Communicator - Superb communication and influencing skills – the ability to be able to work within an environment that is ever developing, has competing priorities and contractual differences
- Strategic in different Markets - Previous experience of planning & delivering successful marketing strategies for both B2B and B2C
- Forward thinking & Resilient- Flexible and resilient with spark and drive, using your ambition and tenacity to move the organisation forward
- Part of the team - Team player and enthusiastic leader with a track record of developing individuals, shaping and leading successful teams.
- Innovative - A flair that keeps our approach fresh and distinctive within the market place – supporting develop our USP
- Business Partner - Confident in building strong meaningful relationships and working collaboratively across senior leadership teams and the wider organisations
- Flexible in approach - Thrive on the ability to be able to work both strategically and operationally when required, rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in to get the job done
- Autonomous – has the ability to operate with a high level autonomy in developing and creating our marketing strategy whilst working across several key stakeholder groups
- 3 years previous experience in a similar role at Head of level
