Right now, we are now looking for a talented individual to work within our community-based substance misuse services in the City of London and Hackney as a Dual Diagnosis Strategic Manager.
The service is delivered in partnership with Mind CHWF and London Friend and there is a focus on partnership working throughout the service to support those in the local community who need assistance to achieve their goals. We deliver treatment and support across the neighbourhoods ensuring a holistic and inclusive approach to recovery in this service.

Role Responsibility
To lead a new team focused on enhancing access to support and recovery services for the rough sleeping community in the City and Hackney area. As part of new Public Health funded project, the new service has been designed around the Neighbourhoods Model with regular localised multidisciplinary team (MDTs) meetings. You will ensure your teams practice is holistic and person centred, and is a tailored and co-produced treatment package, focusing solely on the rough sleeper’s goals. You will work to mitigate any physical or psychosocial barriers relating to service delivery being mostly building based and create a long lasting change in service delivery to the rough sleeper population.
The aims of this role is to establish longer term systemic change in the support offered to the community, you will explore how multi-agency working can provide better opportunities, access to support and pathways into housing support, primary care, substance misuse services, and more.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Requirements:
- Substance misuse appreciation (drug and alcohol awareness).
- Knowledge/understanding of substance misuse harm reduction/recovery service delivery models.
- Commitment to customer service (promoting in the hub an empathy with clients and the need to work collaboratively with them to understand and help to meet their needs).
- Effective communication (inspiring and motivating others, listening effectively, handling challenging situations and communicating confidently with direct reports, colleagues, senior managers, commissioners and medical professionals).
- Delivering positive outcomes (coordinating plans for the hub to shape and deliver outcomes, monitoring progress and addressing emerging concerns, modelling personal accountability).
- Project Management experience.
