Deputy Operations Manager -Suffolk

Job Introduction

Turning Point has been providing drug and alcohol services to adults and young people in Suffolk since 2015. We aim to increase the number of substance misusing clients entering and successfully completing treatment, reduce substance related harm and improve the quality of life for our clients, their families and communities. 

Turning Point Suffolk is looking to appoint maternity cover for the position of Deputy Operations Manager.  The post is a full time, fixed term maternity contract for 1 year. 

Role Responsibility

For this exciting opportunity we seek to recruit an enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate Deputy Operations Manager who will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational delivery of the service which provides substance misuse assessments, specialist prescribing services, BBV testing and vaccinations and a range of clinical and psychosocial interventions.

Your focus will be on ensuring the delivery of a consistently high quality service through ensuring the safe and effective running of the services throughout the county to service users, staff and visitors.  You will ensure CQC standards are met and manage improvements by identifying, planning and managing effective change. 

You will support the Senior Operations Manager to provide leadership to the multi-disciplinary team in line with Turning Point’s vision and core values.  You will also work closely with the commissioners, key stakeholders and local healthcare professionals to oversee the provision of the Suffolk Recovery Network.  You will manage Team Managers and undertake HR related duties including supervisions, appraisals, recruitment and selection and support and empower Team Managers to manage HR related queries.  You will also work closely with the Suffolk multi-disciplinary management team to ensure performance targets are met.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven track record of managing clinical and psychosocial services for people with substance misuse issues
  • Previous experience of managing managers
  • Previous experience of managing all aspects of a service contract
  • Experience of managing multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and partnership working
  • Experience of managing services across multiple locations
  • Knowledge and experience of CQC would be advantageous
  • The legal right to work in the UK
