An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point’s Leicester, Substance Misuse Services as a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker. This role is based within our busy City Centre hub, with a focus on taking a proactive approach at engaging service users in treatment as they leave prison. Your passion and engagement at this early stage will make a real difference in keeping services engaged in their treatment journey.
As a Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £24,150 rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £28,252 per year. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary)

Role Responsibility
As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker you will work flexibly to try and ensure that all service users engage in treatment following release from prison or referral. You will use initiative and ensure that all opportunities are taken to engage with service users.
Day-to-day you will work alongside an Advanced Recovery Practitioner, other Recovery Workers, our Clinical Team and an administrator under the guidance of our Criminal Justice Team Manager. You will also work very closely with Probation and prisons.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will be a highly effective communicator, efficient and organised and have a real passion for supporting service users to engage in treatment. You must be engaging, enthusiastic and passionate, have a keen interest in the Criminal Justice System and willingness to work with offenders to help turn their lives around is a must.
