Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

Turning Point is a leading national not-for-profit provider of excellent services and homes to people living with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, substance abuse histories and for ex-offenders. We are committed to good governance. As the Corporate Governance Officer you will play a key role in delivering effective corporate governance across the Turning Point group.

Role Responsibility

Working closely with the Director of Corporate Governance you will deliver value to the organisation through proactive and comprehensive support to the board of Directors and senior management through good corporate governance.

You will influence, develop and deliver organisational corporate governance activities, taking a lead for the end to end processes associated with the management of corporate governance meetings – specifically board & committee meetings. Therefore a high degree of literacy, administration and organisational capabilities is required for the role together with the ability to deliver results under pressure.

The role has responsibility for wide-ranging corporate governance and administrative duties under the guidance of the Director of Corporate Governance to enable legal and regulatory compliance with the Charities Act, Companies Act and associated requirements of the Regulator for Social Housing and the Care Quality Commission.

The Ideal Candidate

This role is ideally suited to an Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant or a governance professional with enhanced administration and organisational skills who is willing and able to work collaboratively with others to get the job done. You will be bright, self-directed, personable and comfortable taking on responsibility with a blend of personal maturity and political sensitivity. You will also need to be forward thinking and eager to apply knowledge or quickly learn how our business really works in order to deliver value through the professional execution of the role.

The role is offered on the basis of a permanent contract comprising 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a salary of up to £30,000 per annum depending upon experience plus inner London weighting were applicable.

For the right candidate we are willing to consider flexible working in terms of part home working, part office-based, and potentially part-time flexible hours. Again this will be dependent upon the experience and suitability of the candidate.
