Job Introduction

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Content Manager to develop, manage and implement content for Turning Point and its associated commercial venture brands; livelife (B2C) & Rightsteps (B2B). 

Whether you currently work at an agency or in-house, if you’d like to shape a meaningful content strategy and create high quality campaigns and assets for a range of different customer groups, we’d like to meet you.

Role Responsibility

The Content Manager will manage all content for Turning Point brands and will be responsible for developing and delivering against the overall company's marketing strategy.

Working in close partnership with the Marketing Manager for livelife and Rightsteps, as well as the National Marketing Manager for Turning Point, this role is essential to ensuring we’re delivering consistently high-quality work that is on-brand, targeted to the right segments, and delivers results.

As well as developing the strategy and plans, the Content Manager takes a hands-on role in creating content, so great copywriting and design skills are a must.

With support from a Marketing Assistant, this role is also responsible for tracking and managing all content across the business, to ensure it is compliant, accessible, and optimised.

  • About 40% of your time will be spent on strategy, planning, management and supporting the business
  • About 60% of your time will be on content creation, execution, and optimisation against targets
  • Managing a content strategy for which type of messages and content formats (video, graphics, animation, imagery, copy) are most effective on which of our channels - both digital and traditional to maximise reach, encourage engagement and drive action
  • Creating and content using Canva, InDesign and a range of other tools
  • Increasing efficiency and effectiveness of content production through streamlined processes and clear accountabilities, whilst setting clear standards for the content teams to work by.
  • Developing and deploying our key messages; including more complex messaging as appropriate
  • Mapping content to personas, by understanding the needs of the audience and the wider business
  • Acting as the brand custodian alongside Marketing peers on all internally produced content
  • Reporting on activity linked to the communications plan and performance against targets
  • Managing and editing the service website and advising on UX enhancements
  • Social media management including HootSuite
  • Training and upskilling members of the organisation to produce their own marketing materials

The Ideal Candidate

This area of Turning Point is fast paced, and always changing to adapt to the needs of our consumers.

To be considered for the role you will need to have previous experience of leading a content strategy, and the ability to create and deliver high quality assets, both independently and working alongside an agency.  

You’re a positive and creative individual and enjoy collaborating with colleagues for the best outcome.

Experience of working on end-to-end digital marketing campaigns is essential as is experience across B2B2C, B2B & B2C brands. Experience within the healthcare sector is also highly desirable.

We’re also looking for some of the following;

  • Proven ability to develop content strategies that have delivered tangible results
  • Hands on experience of content development and copy approval, with proficiency in Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, WordPress, Office 365 apps and social media platforms
  • Strong project management and governance skills, ensuring content collateral and workflows are driven efficiently.
  • Experience in managing a compliant, current, and accessible content library
  • Experience in understanding complex target audiences and devising effective content
  • Fantastic communication skills that you use to engage people of all levels
  • Good analytical skills – you comfortable interpreting data and making recommendations based on insight
  • Ability to manage project priorities and experienced at influencing internal stakeholders
  • A good understanding of customer experience with strong awareness of the market and competition.
  • An analytical mindset to collate, measure and present on content performance
  • Sound knowledge of Content Management Systems
