Complex Need Navigator - DAWS

Please Note: The application deadline for this job has now passed.

Job Introduction

At Turning Point we provide services across the whole country which deliver end to end drug and alcohol treatment, and support for those in contact with the criminal justice system. We are a specialist in delivering whole treatment system approaches across cities and county areas, which has led to the reduction in people falling through gaps between services and delivers improved outcomes.

Turning Point’s approach is based on integrating substance misuse recovery services with healthcare and housing to provide a single simple pathway. We use assertive outreach to provide our services- the service is based not in our hubs but on the street, in criminal justice settings and in peoples own homes. Central to our approach is our community integration model ‘Get Connected’ which we use to engage local residents through developing meaningful activity programmes and promoting the sense that everyone has a purpose, that their needs can be met and that they are valued members of the community.

Role Responsibility

The role of a complex needs navigator is to be the face of Turning Point by outreach and to ensure that local residents with complex needs receive enhanced support to access treatment and wider services as part of their journey. Building motivation and inspiring our service users with your belief in the possibility of recovery will be central to the role.

The Ideal Candidate

We seek candidates who either have a passion for working in Homelessness, Reducing Reoffending or in Substance Misuse. This role will involve assertive outreach and providing imaginative, person-centred packages of care to individuals with entrenched complex needs.

You will also write reports, maintain accurate records and actively promote the rights and responsibilities of service users. You will also need a good understanding of the recovery agenda and of combining clinical and psycho-social support tools for maximum effect.
