Community Development Team Leader - Wakefield
Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity to join Turning Point and be part of our highly successful and innovative ‘Improving Access to Psychological Therapies’ (IAPT) service. This is a primary care mental health service supporting people with anxiety and depression disorders where we specialise in evidence–based psychological therapies. We are currently looking to recruit a Community Development Team Leader to establish and embed strong partnership working across the Wakefield District ,increasing awareness of Wakefield Talking Therapies and referrals into and out of the service.
Role Responsibility
You will be instrumental in building relationships with organisations that will result in long-term, high-value partnerships that raise both the profile of the service, increase referrals and ensure the needs of the community is met by partnership working.
You will be responsible for:
- Engaging and developing excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners and the community across Wakefield District to drive positive outcomes
- Have a physical presence in the community to ensure that we meet the need of the people we support
- Lead on the identification of potential partnership working
- Develop a collaborative approach to Community Development
- Work alongside other managers to engage partners and clients in all areas of the service
- Be at the heart of community and promotional events
- Building excellent relationships within communities
