Clinical Lead - Total Wellbeing Luton

Job Introduction

Total Wellbeing Luton is a newly commissioned service providing an innovative approach which aims to support both the emotional and physical health needs of people across Luton. The service brings together a range of evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing emotional health concerns through Talking Therapies early, whilst encouraging and enabling the adoption of healthier lifestyles, such as smoking cessation, weight management, increasing physical activity, and increasing quality of life in the context of long-term conditions.

Role Responsibility

We are currently looking for a permanent Clinical Lead to join our team to clinically manage the Talking Therapies service. We are inviting applicants for this role from experienced High Intensity Therapists, Team Leads and Clinical Leads. We are looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, experience and insight into shaping and leading Talking Therapies as part of an integrated model.

This is an exciting new role where you will oversee the development of:

  • An integrated approach to service delivery and Talking Therapies
  • Oversee day to day practice within the service to ensure effective and efficient clinical practice
  • Hold day to day clinical responsibility and accountability for Talking Therapies, by acting as a first point of reference for all clinical staff
  • Ensure the service operates within NICE guidelines and is IAPT compliant
  • Oversees a programme of Continuous Personal Development for the staff team
  • Risk management
  • Partnership networks across Luton

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • At least 3 years' experience in health and or wellbeing at a clinical level
  • Be BABCP accredited
  • Experience of working within an IAPT Service with a good understanding of Talking Therapy and available treatment modalities
  • Experience of delivering IAPT compliant clinical supervision and case management
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
