Clinical Lead - Total Wellbeing Luton

Job Introduction

Total Wellbeing Luton was commissioned in 2018 to  provide an innovative approach aiming to support both the emotional and physical health needs of people across Luton. The service brings together a range of evidence-based interventions aimed at addressing emotional health concerns through Talking Therapies early, whilst encouraging and enabling the adoption of healthier lifestyles, such as smoking cessation, weight management, increasing physical activity, and increasing quality of life in the context of long-term conditions.

Role Responsibility

We are currently looking for a permanent Clinical Lead to join our team and are inviting experienced BABCP accredited CBT therapist applicants for this role. As the Clinical Lead you will be responsible for clinical leadership, supervision and advice on psychological therapies within the service. You will also lead on service development, ensure that CPD is available and research opportunities explored. We are looking for someone who understands the challenges of working in IAPT and who  can bring enthusiasm, experience and insight into shaping and leading Talking Therapies as part of an integrated model.

The main aims of the role is to develop and lead the service in all clinical aspects through:

  • Developing, implementing and maintaining clinical policy and pathways related to primary care mental health
  • Leading on an integrated approach to service delivery and Talking Therapie
  • Responsibility for Clinical Governance and the audit of all clinical work
  • Oversee day to day practice within the service to ensure effective and efficient clinical practice that operates within  NICE guidelines and is IAPT compliant

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role you will need to have:

  • Experience of working in mental health and or wellbeing setting at a clinical level
  • Be BABCP accredited
  • Experience of working within an IAPT Service with a good understanding of Talking Therapy and available treatment modalities
  • Experience of delivering IAPT compliant clinical supervision and case management
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
