Business Development Officer
Job Introduction
Turning Point is a leading national not-for-profit provider of excellent services and homes to people living with learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, substance abuse histories and for ex-offenders. You would move into a new role created in a successful and growing business development team that oversee competitive and proactive business growth opportunities and innovation projects.
Role Responsibility
This is a role that offers you a wide variety of experiences and responsibilities so you will find that no two days are the same. It will provide you with an excellent foundation to develop a career in business development or potentially in other teams at Turning Point. Not only will you develop role specific expertise but you will have the opportunity to access personal development modules that will extend your knowledge and experience across a broad range of our activities.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a highly flexible person who thrives on providing an excellent customer service and who loves challenge. You will need a good eye for detail, superb communication skills, some creative writing skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks to set deadlines. A sense of humour and fun fits in well with our team. Some experience in sales, marketing or bid support would be useful but also if you have worked in or experienced health and social care this may be a great starting point for you in a business development role. In some ways experience is more important to us than qualification; but if you have a degree and some voluntary work or work experience with a charity, social enterprise or in a role with social purpose we would also be very interested to receive your application.
