Apprenticeship and Professional Development Lead

A unique opportunity has arisen to join Turning Point as an Apprenticeship and Professional Development Lead.

The role is based in Manchester City Centre on a hybrid basis. 

Role Responsibility

You will be supporting and leading on governance around apprenticeships and will be the key contact for all apprenticeships and qualifications for stakeholders, colleagues and providers. You will be developing pilots of apprenticeships in key areas depending on organisational needs and will be promoting engagement events to motivate and develop colleagues.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • mapping of apprenticeships to job pathways
  • funding opportunities with T levels and placements to support Turning Point
  • working with under-represented groups into senior / key roles with support of the apprenticeships or qualifications
  • leading on the Exploring Apprenticeships Scheme
  • maintaining apprenticeships and qualification database including data analytics from multiple providers and developing activities in key areas from the data

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will have L3 L&D / HR Practitioner qualification or equivalent.

You will also have a working knowledge and good understanding of apprenticeship levy and the institute of apprenticeships.

We are looking for candidates with good analytical skills and knowledge around data who are familiar with MS office products.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate others is necessary.
