Advanced Rehab Recovery Practitioner - Stanfield

Job Introduction

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Advanced Substance Misuse Practitioner to join our Residential Rehab team at Stanfield House in Cumbria. This role involves delivering high-quality, person-centred health and wellbeing interventions, focusing on individuals facing complex substance misuse challenges in a residential rehab setting. You will play a pivotal role in helping service users recover, offering professional guidance, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.


 

Role Responsibility

- Manage a caseload of service users with complex needs (e.g., mental health issues, offending behaviour, homelessness).
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop recovery and risk management plans tailored to individual needs.
- Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions on both a 1:1 basis and in group settings.
- Ensure strong partnership working with other professionals and agencies, facilitating multi-disciplinary meetings where necessary.
- Mentor and support Recovery Workers, offering training, supervision, and guidance.
- Promote harm reduction,  and health advice.
- Maintain accurate, high-quality records, including reports for safeguarding and other relevant agencies.
- Represent the organisation at local and national forums as an expert in substance misuse and related fields.
- Participate in and sometimes lead team and clinical meetings.

 

The Ideal Candidate

Essential: 
  - Significant experience in a substance misuse treatment and recovery setting.
  - Specialist training in areas related to substance misuse, such as mental health, criminal justice, or homelessness.
  - Strong understanding of risk management in substance use.
  - Excellent partnership working skills within multi-disciplinary teams.
  - Ability to work effectively under pressure.
 

Desirable: 
  - Relevant qualifications (e.g., Health and Social Care).
  - Experience in mentoring or supervising staff.

- Experience working in a SU rehab setting
