Administration Team Leader – Suffolk Recovery Network

Turning Point has been providing drug and alcohol services to adults and young people in Suffolk since 2015. We aim to increase the number of substance misusing clients entering and successfully completing treatment, reduce substance related harm and improve the quality of life for our clients, their families and communities. 

Turning Point Suffolk is seeking a full time Administration Team Leader to be based at the Ipswich service.

Role Responsibility

The administrative team are essential to the smooth running of the Suffolk drug and alcohol service.  They undertake multiple invaluable tasks including clinical, data and general administrative duties. Your role, as an Administration Team Leader, will be to lead and support the administrative team whilst also being a part of the Suffolk leadership team and providing support to the Suffolk managers. 

The Ideal Candidate

You will have recent managerial, supervisory and administrative experience.  You will be able to demonstrate leading and developing a busy and varied countywide team.  You will need to be competent in managing work delegation and drive the administration team forwards.  You will need to be able to work as part of a team as well as being able to work independently. 

A high degree of self-motivation, flexibility, initiative and decision making skills are essential.  You will need good problem solving, planning and organising skills.  You will need to be able to manage change and have a solution focused can do approach.  You will need to be able to communicate effectively and appropriately using a variety of means to build effective working relationships internal and external to the service. 

You will have excellent IT knowledge and skills, including experience MS Office as well as various experience of using database systems.  General duties will include diary management, HR responsibilities, support with contract management, attending and supporting with meetings. 

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills
  • Experience of working in an administrative background
  • Experience of working in the health and social care sector
  • Experience of supervising team members
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential
  • Excellent knowledge of IT systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to organise self and others to work to agreed deadlines
  • An effective multi-tasker with the ability to prioritise and handle multiple projects and daily activities.
  • Being a car driver is essential as is a willingness to travel throughout Suffolk
